The Physiotrust clinic team
The story behind Physiotrust

Our Story

Alireza Aminlari and Azam Khoshsiar brought years of physiotherapy and rehabilitation experience from Iran to Canada. After Alireza became registered to practise physiotherapy in Ontario, they opened Physiotrust in Thornhill in 2014.

They wanted to build a clinic where careful assessment comes first, treatment has a clear purpose, and patients feel remembered rather than processed.

Most new patients do not discover Physiotrust through a clever advertisement. They hear about us from a friend, a relative, a neighbour, or someone at work. One patient has a good experience, then sends a spouse, a parent, or a child. Over time, those introductions have made Physiotrust especially well known within the Thornhill community and across Richmond Hill, Vaughan, North York, Newmarket, and nearby areas.

Today, Physiotrust brings physiotherapy, massage therapy, osteopathy, and acupuncture together under one roof. The team has grown, but the standard has stayed personal: understand the problem, remember the person, and take care of the details.

Read Biography

Alireza Aminlari is an Ontario-registered physiotherapist with more than 35 years of experience in physical therapy. He is known at Physiotrust for careful assessment, clear clinical reasoning, and a remarkable memory for the people he treats—not only the information written in their charts.

Alireza graduated in physiotherapy in 1987 and completed a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in 1995. Before moving to Canada, his career included clinical practice, teaching, cardiac rehabilitation, and program leadership. He directed the cardiac rehabilitation ward at Moheb Hospital and was a founder and educational director of the Iranian Cardiopulmonary Physical Therapy Association.

In 2009, Alireza received the Best Lecturer award in the physiotherapy field at the 16th Congress of the Iranian Society of Cardiac Surgeons. His additional education has included cardiac rehabilitation, kinesiotaping, principles of pharmacology in rehabilitation, and lumbar and sacroiliac care.

After moving to Canada in 2010, Alireza became registered to practise in Ontario and began working here in 2012. He and his wife, Azam Khoshsiar, opened Physiotrust in 2014. Many of the clinic’s patients have now trusted him with their care for years—and have introduced him to the rest of their families along the way.
