Part of a broader planTreatment Modalities
Useful when they fit. Never included just for the sake of it.
No single technique or piece of equipment is right for everyone. After an assessment, your clinician may recommend one or more of the following as part of a broader plan.
Laser Therapy
Laser therapy uses focused light energy and may be included for selected concerns when it is suitable for your health history and treatment plan.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy uses acoustic energy and may be considered for selected musculoskeletal concerns. Your clinician will assess whether it is appropriate and explain what to expect.
Ultrasound Therapy
Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound-wave energy and may be selected as one part of a broader rehabilitation plan.
IFC
Interferential current therapy uses gentle electrical stimulation and may be considered to support pain management during treatment.
TENS
Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation uses low-voltage electrical current and may be used for selected pain presentations.
E.S.
Electrical stimulation may be used for selected rehabilitation goals after your clinician reviews your condition and health history.
Vacuum Therapy
Vacuum therapy may be included when gentle suction-based treatment is appropriate for the assessment findings and care plan.
Decompression Traction
Mechanical traction may be considered for certain neck or back presentations. It is only used after an assessment determines that it is appropriate.
DOM Infrared Therapy
Infrared therapy may be used to provide controlled warmth and support comfort as part of a broader treatment session.
Paraffin Bath
A paraffin bath provides gentle, controlled heat and may be used for selected hand, wrist, foot, or joint concerns.
HP Therapy
Hot-pack therapy provides moist heat and may be used to support comfort and prepare an area for movement or hands-on treatment.
Postural Assessment
This assessment considers how you sit, stand, and move alongside strength, flexibility, work demands, and daily habits to identify useful changes.
Exercise Therapy
Exercises may be selected to improve strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, control, or confidence with movement, with a purpose connected to your assessment and goals.
Home Exercise Program
Your clinician may provide exercises to practise between visits, including the repetitions, frequency, and precautions that apply to you. Our video library makes many movements easier to review.
